Annual Dinner & Dance 2008
The ARFC Aldermaston Annual Dinner Dance was held on Friday 9th
May 2008 at the AWE Recreation Society. The evening began with
a drinks reception in the Concert Room with photographs being taken
of the attendees on their arrival. View the full album of the nights
photos here.
Passwords should have been received with each purchase. To obtain a
password contact a club official or email your request to
admin@aldermastonrugby.com.
The
event was as popular and successful as ever with plenty of banter,
drinking & dancing being enjoyed by all who attended.
A four course meal was followed by
the usual suspects giving their opinions on how the season had
progressed for the club both on and off the pitch. This year,
following comments on the length of the speeches in previous years,
a sweepstake was held with Emma Martin winning the cash prize for
guessing the closet finishing time. Or was that just for staying
awake the longest? ED.
The Annual Award Winners were then
announced:

commitment, ability and consistency to have turned out the Red &
Black Army's First XV on...... yes 60 or more occasions.
This year, those belatedly
honoured were, Stuart "Clippy" Campbell, Kevin "Basher"
Bambury, John "Stumpy" Ryan, Ali Kelso and
Geoff Martin.
The club thank them all for their
efforts both on and off the pitch over the years.
