	Aldermaston wins RFU Photo Competition

	In 2006 the RFU ran a photo competition to try and find a rugby picture that really captured a rugby moment. The winning picture was to feature on the cover of the 2006/07 RFU yearbook, which is distributed to every club in the country. Despite the Aldermaston picture not winning first prize, the judges were so impressed with picture of Alishia, they felt it should feature in the book. We are all very proud of Alishia, she is a very talented rugby player and a truly committed Aldermaston RFC member. The Aldermaston player is Alishia is playing at Madejski stadium in front of 1000's of fans. As Aldermaston RFC are a dedicated community partner of London Irish, our under8's and under 9's were invited to play an exhibition match during London Irish's game against Cardiff. This was all watched by Cardiff's most recent signing rugby legend Jonah Lomu!!!
	Alishia is one our most talented and eager rugby players, and we are very proud of her, and following this surprise win, we are delighted that she will feature on the cover of the official RFU yearbook. At the start of last season, Alishia was part of the Aldermaston team that got to play at Twickenham in front of 35,000 spectators. This excellent photograph was taken by a friend of Aldermaston during our trip to the Madjeski stadium.
